TIMAC @ CATESOL Regional in Los Angeles, October 28th 2006

Engage, Educate, Empower was the name of this event organized jointly by Los Angeles Regional and Orange County Chapter.

Devon Markert, Cohort 3, and her colleague Karla Frizler Octavio from Torrance Adult School presented The T3 Program: Training Teachers to Use Technology in which they explained how Torrance Adult School established a mentoring program in which ESL teachers train their colleagues to use technology in the classroom.

Jennifer Gaudet, Cohort 1, from Santa Ana College School of Continuing Education hosted a poster session, Portable Word Processors in the ESL Classroom.
This poster presented to ESL teachers how to integrate technology into their current curriculum by using a class set of portable word processors, like AlphaSmart, to engage students in writing with increased awareness of spelling, punctuation, and more.

Devon, Karla, and Kristi attended TELL-IG Lunch Rap Session among other ESL techie enthusiasts.
